Bluebonnets, Birthday Parties & Books...

Here are a few more pictures from yesterday's shoot... mom went out to help Ms. Melissa today, but it was SO windy and cold they had to postpone the rest of the pictures. Glad we got ours done yesterday!

I really was unsure of what to think of these flowers that were almost as tall as me...

Look how little I am compared to daddy's long legs!

Little House on the Prairie...

Checking the flowers out...

A couple shots of the bluebonnets that mom shot...

using her macro setting...

Saturday evening it was time to meet up with my friends for Keira's birthday party at Dove Park. Another of my friends turning 2!! That's so scary because it means that someday I'm going to turn 2! Whoa!

This play area is built for kids in wheelchairs so there are ramps everywhere and the playground is HUGE, I was all over the place!

"Hi mom!"

Doing my own thing... no parents needed...

I went down all the slides by myself...

and climbed up this one... daddy had to take my shoes off for me to do it, but I made it up to the very top!

Ready for a cake break...

Here's the birthday girl Keira... sorry there aren't more pictures of her, but we were all on the go... (notice Madison down there ready for some cake)...

Keira really enjoyed us singing "Happy Birthday" to her...

Ready for Round 2...

Someone offered to take a picture of us... mom wishes daddy's eyes were open...

After dinner at Fuddruckers we decided to sidewalk chalk...

This was right after I put the brush in my mouth... not so good...

I'm really enjoying these long evenings of sunlight... bring on summer!

Waving hi to our neighbor Howard... who came over to hang out with us...

Daddy drew me a little friend...

and eventually (as always) the bow had to come out...

This picture is to prove that mom does let me get dirty sometimes...

She even let daddy give me a chalk tattoo...

Silly daddy!

Today we went to lunch at Uncle Julios (which mom said was her best dining experience ever with me... now that I like to eat chicken and beans, I'm happily entertained by eating the entire meal)...

After lunch we headed to Barnes and Noble for story time...

Dad and I waved at all the people walking by...

Look how little I am compared to this big bear!

Tonight I tried once again to make friends with Callie... I'm definitely getting closer (the entire time mom says "no hit" to both of us... like Callie understands!)

Here are a few videos from tonight... here I am blowing my Papa Rodman kisses...

Patting the dog and saying "Pat Pat"...

Barking at the dog on tv...

and working on my body parts... I'm actually getting pretty good at them, but tonight all I wanted to do was work on my new "pat pat" skill... I was even giving mommy pats...

Weekend Preview...

We have had a super busy day... Bluebonnet pictures... Keira's 2nd birthday party... sidewalk chalking... mommy has to get up early tomorrow morning to go help Ms. Melissa with day 2 of bluebonnet pictures, so she just wanted to post a few pictures from today.

We did professional pictures with Melissa Darst today, we should have the previews soon, but after we were done, mom and dad took turns shooting a few more pictures of me for the blog...

I really did not enjoy the bluebonnets, I kept trying to explain to mom that they are weeds and itchy... but mom just loves them...

I promise to be back tomorrow with more bluebonnet outtakes... pictures from Keira's party and whatever else the weekend brings... for now here are these...

About as good as my pictures got...

Cute pic of me and mom...

and a sweet one of me and daddy...

What I really thought of the weeds...

Mom and dad were amazed at how red my hair photographed today...

Mom's League Mtg & BJ's Brewery

There's only one thing a sleepy girl in a cute outfit can mean... it's Mom's League meeting day!

"I don't want to go anywhere this early mommy"

I skipped daycare today and stayed with mom... I spent the whole time playing with my stroller, reading books, eating snacks and making friends with mom's friend Amy...

Uh oh... the good news is that this is when the side of my crib is lowered... so as long as mom remembers to raise up the side, I shouldn't be climbing out any time soon...

"Ok mom... let's go play!"

Mom's so ready to show off my spring clothes that she's just layering them with long sleeves while it's still cool outside...

We played outside with Zaiden and Camen until daddy got home... daddy helped me spy on the house behind us...

Sometimes I have to really concentrate when I'm trying to run...

I'm really into loving my puppy these days...

and my daddy...

Notice where my hand is... agghhh... teeth!

Mom was working hard today to get a cute picture of me in my cute outfit... it was tough... hopefully I'm saving all of my cute smiles for our professional pictures tomorrow...

Tonight we headed to BJs... my monthly birthday is on Monday this month and we have a birthday party to go to tomorrow night, so we decided to celebrate tonight...

Eating ice...

Look at how big I am!! Sitting next to daddy in the booth...

Peek-a-boo mom...

Mom helped distract me with my fun ball...

Then it was pizookie time!!!

YUMMY!

Just a Quick Hello & Mommy's Hairdo...

Today was not a fabulous day... on our way to swim class we stopped at Hobby Lobby for some cake pop supplies and a lady came inside to tell us that a gust of wind had caused her car door to knock off mommy's mirror... not great news... there is some other damage to the car and it will have to be repaired, more of a nuisance than anything, but mom sulked about it for most of the day...

We had swim class, but mom left the camera in the car, so no pictures from there...

She did snap a few while I was playing in my playroom today... before she realized these jeans are also too small (ok come on spring I've officially grown out of my fall/winter clothes)...

My playroom is full of my vintage toys... I like to still play with them every once in a while... remember the birds?

Remember?

Saying "hi" to the neighbors through the window...

Can you tell I'm in teething pain?

Look at all my toys! Mommy refuses to get rid of anything because eventually there will be a kid #2 and I still like playing with them...

Mom thought this shelf would be a great storage place for them, but I demand them all down when I'm in the playroom...

Ok on to mom's hairdo...

We are having our family pictures taken this weekend and mommy hadn't had her hair done since November, so it was time...

Here are the before shots... not so bad...

Except the 2 inches of roots... ick...

and the SUPER long bangs... are they even considered bangs anymore when they are that long?

Here is her after... Bangs are cut, more contrast in the color... best of all... no more roots... good job mom!

SOOO different than her haircut last April... WOW!

Just another day at the park...

So sitting in her car mom debated whether or not she should bring her camera into the park, but she has finally realized that she really does need it with her at all times... Her goal in posting the videos earlier today (yes keep reading after this one) was to not post tonight... well I had other ideas...

Do I look like I'm cooking something up here?

I started with some drum practice...

and showing mom how big I am (and how short my jeans are getting)...

Then I decided that since there weren't any big kids around today... I would be the big kid...

So I started climbing the stairs of the big slide, by myself...

Then I climbed the second set...

Then I went down the BIG slide all by myself! Twice!

After conquering the big kid slide I decided I should get to play on the big kids playground and promptly headed over there to climb their HUGE ladders and try to climb this spiderweb thing...

I got so frustrated when I couldn't do it that mommy had to take me home...

Bamboozled!

Animal Sounds & Dancing Videos

Post from mommy...

So you know the stage when toddlers talk a lot at home, but not at all in public??? We're there! Milla cannot be bribed/cajoled/begged into performing in public, so instead I have to sneak out the video camera every once in a while and show yall what an adorable performer she is (in the privacy of her own home)...

Enjoy! (by the way in our house the sound for an elephant is a raspberry sound - hard to hear her do it and for a bunny it's smacking your lips together)...

Milla also LOVES to dance in the privacy of her own home, but isn't sure about busting a move in public...
