School & Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader!

My Aunt Lindsay (actually it's mommy's cousin... but that's too confusing)... is going to teach 2nd grade this year. It's her first year as a teacher so we wanted to go see her before school started and check out her new classroom.

Mommy thought it was also the PERFECT excuse to buy me something from the new Gymboree line.

Oh mommy also wants to pass along a great mommy tip to all the mommy-readers... we got 2 yards of black polar fleece at Hobby Lobby today for $9.00...it makes the PERFECT mock professional portrait studio background!

So all this school talk made mommy and I wonder what type of student will I be?

Curious?

A rebel? (this is my teenage pose)

Angelic? (doesn't this look like a straight A student?)

The class clown?

The ditz? (not likely)

The bully (growl...)

See mommy even made me a bow with an apple in the center of it to match my apple pants.

By the time we got to Lindsay's school, I was a little drowsy from the car nap...

But I warmed up to her and her classroom after she shared her Scooby Doo with me...

Mommy and I brought her a basket of goodies and I included a couple of apples... you're suppose to bring the teacher an apple right?

Tonight was the first Cowboys preseason game that was early enough in the evening for me to watch... Mommy let me wear my jersey to dinner and I was the HIT of the restaurant!

Don't I look like a little girl in this picture?

See how intently daddy and I are watching? Football is serious around our house!

Mom took me away for a little photo shoot before my bath...

Such a happy Cowboys fan!

This is mommy and daddy's new favorite picture of me... Mom says this is my future Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader pose. What do you think? Grandpa Rodman, I expect that you will have this one framed on your desk by the time we visit!

Little Ladybug...

Mom always says that the first time I crawl it will be to get the cat... today I started to prove mom right... still not crawling, but I can definitely inch worm myself closer...

Mom thought it was time for a comparison series...

This one is from June 6th...

These are from July 12th...

And these are from today... Can you tell a difference? Am I becoming a little girl?

Man my tongue is HUGE!

Daddy woke me up from my afternoon nap and we had to get a picture of my bed head in all it's glory! I had been sleeping on my tummy with my hair pushed up against my bumper the entire hour and a half.

"Why are there lights flashing... I just woke up"

Tonight I had to say goodbye to my duck bath tub. I'm pulling up on it and trying to escape and mom doesn't think it's safe anymore... but we got some pictures to remember my ducky tub with...

Mom was working on a new hairstyle in the bath tub tonight... we're trying to find one that's a little less Donald Trump!

My favorite part of the bath is splashing... I don't actually get soap until the very end...

Always a visit from Maggie...

"What do you mean I'm too big for this tub mom?"

"You mean you aren't suppose to kick your legs up and cross them?"

"Ok big girl baths from now on... it'll be ok... but I won't be able to lounge as well"...

Little Miss Sunshine

Here are some pictures from today...

This morning's outing was to Walmart and I got my first Elmo! What's up with this guy? He's SO cute and every baby I know LOVES him... mom wants to know what makes him so appealing???

"I love him mommy, can I have a big one for Christmas?" (Grandmas, we'll talk later)

Mommy picked this shirt up for me at Target... she loves these little characters and thought "Little Miss Sunshine" was perfect for me...

"I'm coming to get you mom"

I spend ALOT of time in this position these days... I'm really trying to figure out how to take off and crawl.

See look at me go!

After I fell over... mom got one BIG smile out of me (raspberring my belly will always work!)

Tonight Maggie and I played ball... Here's a slideshow Mommy made...

Jeans & Pulling Up

Well it was rainy again today so mom thought jeans were in order... oh and shoes...

"Yeah that's not going to happen mom"...

It took mom longer to get the shoes on me then it took me to take them off... so we went to Nordstrom today and ordered me some pedipeds... I got to try on a pair and they didn't bother me at all! Mom got them on me in under a minute and I kept them on like there wasn't anything on my feet... YAY! They should be here in a few days...

Ok so socks... we'll do socks for now...

"Thanks for the bath Maggie..."

I was SO excited to go to Barnes and Noble and get some new books! I'm REALLY into reading now... we read 3 books a night and sometimes a couple of books during the day... of course my favorite is "Goodnight Moon"... I can find the kittens on every page that they are on! It's like playing "Where's Waldo"...

Getting ready to crawl... I've improved LEAPS and BOUNDS over the past few days... I'm really figuring this out... still not on all fours, but I'm getting REALLY close...

For our afternoon outing mom decided it was too warm for the jeans so she found my jean skirt...

Silly Maggie, she has started to nap every time I nap!

I'm SUCH a happy girl after my naps!

and yes... I still stick my tongue out sometimes...

See working on my crawling moves again...

Mom stood me up so she could show y'all how cute my skirt is...

These three pictures happened in a matter of seconds...

Here are two videos of me pulling up... I know you can't tell how little mom is helping me (really she's just there to make sure I don't fall), can you tell how proud I am?

This video shows Nana how much I'm loving Maggie's new bed... it's great for me to work on all my rolling over maneuvers...

Anybody want to take bets on how soon I'll be crawling? Mom says August 26th (my adjusted birth date)...
