Tuesday morning mom had a special treat...
A morning at a local farm! Homestead Farms to be exact.
This farm is literally 5 minutes from our house and they opened up the farm to preschoolers for the morning so we could see what farm life was all about...
I had lots of friends from different parts of my life there (which made it super fun). My friend Katelyn from Claire's birthday party...
Her aunt actually owns the farm (and her mom use to teach ballet with Aunt Rinny)... it's an amazingly small world!
Chickens...
Got picture...
Bunnies!
Finally it was time for our tour to begin...
First stop, feeding the baby goats...
A quick video... I had lots of fun!
Bella Grace was there...
and her brother Pierce...
Time to go visit the big goats...
Hailey was there too...
and Brianna from my neighborhood...
Loving it!
Hayden Claire arrived and was not so sure about goats...
Girls having fun in the mud...
Time to watch the goats get milked, we put feed into these little holes and then they ate the feed while they were milked...
I got to pet a chicken...
and a bunny...
and go into the chicken coup!
and find an egg!
We did some arts and crafts...
Bella Grace and Hailey...
and rode the tractor...
and then we took a treat to the goats... graham crackers and frosting!
They LOVED it!
Bella Grace was not so sure she wanted to part with her graham cracker and peanut butter...
Finally it was time for us to eat... yay for a picnic at the farm!
I told mom I wanted to go back every day... we were stinky and muddy and the car had to be washed, but we had a wonderful time. Thanks Homestead Farms!
