Thursday was a beautiful day, so mom and I headed out to use our membership at the Dallas Zoo...
I'm very into looking right into mom's camera right now...
It's a long drive, but we know we are almost there when we see our giraffe friend...
It was SO quiet! We knew we were in for a good day as soon as we saw the parking lot... mom always thinks against the flow. February was $5 admission all month... so we went the first day of March!
Penguins!
We walked right up on the elephant feeding...
and then we decided to try something new... feed the giraffes!
Next up... jungle cats!
and the gorilla trail (no gorillas spotted... again)...
I love the statues here... mom has a million pictures of me on them...
Doesn't it look like I am in the crocodile enclosure?
Lunch!
Monorail...
We saw the zebras...
and the baby chimp...
More giraffe feeding...
Sleepy lions...
Finally it was time to cool off!
Someone had an accident in the water and they had to close the water feature for the rest of the day... I handled it really well (some of the other kids did not)...
There is so much else to explore! The spider web...
Pony rides...
HUGE bunnies...
Koi fish...
Goats...
Chickens...
Birds...
Bearded dragons...
and even naked mole rats (disgusting!!!)...
But they do have a cool rat tunnel in there...
We finally made it to my favorite friend... the albino alligator...
and rode the carousel...
