Monkey Milla Goes to School...

Mom's confession of the day: She didn't take many pictures of me today because she knew she was going to Bunco tonight and she didn't want to have to edit a bunch of pictures...

This morning I headed back to school...

Blurry picture, but the best one of how cute my shirt is!

Sweet smile... thanks for my monkey shirt Grandma Kitty! I've been asking about you the past couple of days...

Here we are waiting inside... mom thought she was seeing her reflection on the glass in this picture and then she realized it's me... she thinks I look a lot like her in this picture... you have to blow it up to see...

First out... Keira!

Brooklyn & I came together (no big smile for mom)... I'm always desperate to get my backpack off and start a snack... a smile and hug come when the backpack is off...

Brooklyn and I telling the statue goodbye...

We promise to make up for the lack of pictures tomorrow when we head to the zoo...

ASI & LD Bell Band...

This morning we headed outside to play for a few minutes before going to ASI... once we got out there we heard the band practicing over at Pennington Field and I asked mom if we could go see the drums...

We caught the last 5 minutes of their rehearsal... it was awesome... They are headed to the national championships this week...

Finally mom encouraged me to head to ASi for gymnastics...

One side effect of roseola... sleepiness... as seen in this picture...

I decided to try swinging again today and I did great (but I was a little scared)...

Practicing my backwards roll...

Which I got to ring the bell for...

I snuck over to hang on the bars before we did that rotation...

and finally figured out how to bear crawl across the bars... mom was SO proud!

After class we drove out to our new house location and we were super excited to see our sign! Woo hoo!

In case you were wondering what roseola looks like when it becomes a rash... here you go...

After naptime I started perking up and requested a pink shirt & my wings... (if you enlarge the picture you can see how pleased I was)...

I love my wings Nana!

and I still REALLY love my nativity scene... although I think Abby is an angel as well and I had her kiss the baby Jesus...

Tonight after dinner we headed back to Pennington Field to watch one of LD Bell's final practices...

I really love the color gaurd!

Such a fun night time field trip!

Sick Saturday & Super Sunday...

What a weekend! I went to bed Friday night sick... woke up Saturday morning crying with the same cry I had at 3 months old... mom rushed in to get me and we spent most of the morning cuddling. I had a fever of 100.3 at it's worst, but showed no other symptoms other than being REALLY crabby!

So mom and dad lost their fight to keep me on the couch when I cried to go outside...

Poor sick Minnie Mouse...

Still a little bit of happy Milla left though...

Having a stick war with daddy...

Cleaning out the gutters...

Cuddling with mommy...

and with daddy...

and watching tv with Papa...

After a 3 1/2 hour nap I woke up FEVER FREE! YAY!

I was completely sweaty and not interested in any fluids so mom bribed me with a cherry popsicle...

Starting to look a lot less sick...

We stayed at the house though and I played the drums with Papa...

and went on a wagon ride...

ate a little soup (doesn't everyone need that when they are sick?)...

This morning I woke up full of spunk and personality once again...

How cute are me and my mommy making kissy face...

Ok maybe I was 100% as shown in this picture...

This one is a tad better...

I am fascinated with the leaves on our driveway and content to just sit and play with them...

But stomping them is fun too...

So is jumping into the grass...

After getting groceries we headed to Boys Ranch to feed the ducks...

Did you know they love goldfish?

This guy had NO fear!

Look at all the ducks that came to eat goldfish... hilarious!

We stopped to play on the playground...

and headed over to the sand volleyball court to dig...

I started with a stick...

and then noticed a little boy had a ton of digging tools which I "borrowed" two of...

Mom thinks I could spend an entire day digging in the sand... it kept all of my attention...

We did one last rock climbing wall and slide and headed home...

When I took my bath tonight mom noticed a small rash on my tummy and she has asked Dr. Google what I have... looks like it's roseola... which isn't so bad since I'm already not contagious and even with a little rash I feel much better! Mom will admit she has been very thankful today that it wasn't swine flu and she's reconsidering getting me the shot. Being sick is NO FUN!

The Papa & Mama Kitty Babysitting Service...

First a really cute picture Papa got last night...

Ok back to today...

Mom had her Mom's League meeting this morning and since I had a pretty miserable time their last month she asked Mama Kitty & Papa to babysit me this morning. I did great! No tears at all! Mama Kitty & Papa did great too... they kept me entertained and happy for 4 hours!

Papa came and picked me up at the house and took me back to their hotel to play and eat breakfast...

There were all kinds of new chairs to play on...

I got to check out a fireplace...

Then we headed up to their room to watch Jon & Kate + 8 (which I loved) and read the paper...

Next came our field trip to Barnes and Noble...

I played with the train table...

and Mama Kitty read me some books...

She even bought me some Santa books!

I sat on the big chairs and checked out some early reader books...

Thank you so much Papa and Mama Kitty for babysitting me! Maybe we can arrange the same service for one of mom's meetings in the spring. I hope I didn't wear you out too much (although I think we all had great naps afterwards)...

After my nap today I asked mommy for my "funny hat"...

Aren't I cute with my Minnie pj's and my Minnie hat?

After Papa got up from his much deserved nap he came over to play...

I'm really into leaves and rocks and dirt these days...

I just wouldn't smile in the picture with mom...

When daddy got home we headed out to dinner and I got a new toy to entertain me... a Santa & Reindeer Little People set! I was SO excited!

Unfortunately, after we got home from dinner I started looking a little under the weather... by bathtime I was running a fever and coughing with a runny nose... This is my first fever ever! 99.2 and mom of course is very worried... Please pray I feel better in the morning and that maybe it's just a cold or my 2 year molars coming in... Stay away swine flu!

School & A Visit from Mama Kitty & Papa...

Such a cute school dress... mom picked it up on clearance for $4.00...

I'm full of silly expressions these days (which you'll see in this post)...

Big smiles...

Goofy grins (what mom and dad call a first grade smile)...

Angelic poses...

Hanging out with daddy on the driveway while mommy loaded the car...

Mom can't express how much she loves my teacher. Mom put an email in this afternoon concerned about me not eating my snack the past couple of weeks and she got the sweetest email back...

"Milla really enjoyed playing with the play doh today and didn't want to stop dot painting her turkey. She was the first one to do hers today and I finally had to tell her the rest of the class wants to paint too. Brooklyn went next and so I told Milla that she could show Brooklyn how to do it. Too cute!"

She also sent mom this picture...

After school we headed to the park with Brooklyn & Keira (and their mommies and siblings)...

Me and Keira on the toddler slide...

I am obsessed with leaves and sent them all down the slide before I would slide...

I liked sliding on them...

Sweet Brooklyn (who I called Brookie today)...

This is my new expression... what's funny about this picture is you can see the static in my hair from the playground...

Filling the little theater with bark and leaves...

One last slide before we go...

After naptime mom and I waited patiently outside for Mama Kitty & Papa...

I even got to play with my neighbor friend Zaiden...

Finally Mama Kitty & Papa arrived...

and daddy came home too...

Mama Kitty brought me this great manger scene... I played with it all evening... I loved rearranging all the characters...

Neat huh?

Park Fun with Bubba...

This morning Bubba and I met at the Keller Pointe park for some swinging, sliding and running...

I kept telling mom that I could see giraffes from the periscope...

It was so bright we went and grabbed my sunglasses out of the car...

Next came a nature walk...

To see the cats (my favorite)...

Check us out... we're riding them!

Bubba was so cute today, he carried his 2 trucks everywhere (just in case he needed something to play with)...

The bears are SO big, they still kind of scare me...

We found a bunch of steps to walk up...

and stopped for a snack... (yes I left my sunglasses on for like 30 minutes!)

Back to riding the cat...

We tried to feed them a snack...

and I took one last ride...

Then we got to swing together...

and did some playing on the wet playground (sprinklers really? After all this rain?)...

Thanks for playing Bubba! I had such a good time that I took a 3 hour and 15 minute nap today! Perfect for mommy who needed to clean the house before Mama Kitty and Papa come tomorrow.

School & Minnie Mouse Take 3!

I got to wear my super cute new bow shirt to school this morning...

My new favorite morning activity is picking up rocks and throwing them... But at least I look dainty and cute while doing it...

and innocent and doe-eyed too...

I had a great day at school today. No tears again! I did get my first accident report. I was "sharing" a tamborine during music class and somehow got whacked in the head. It required ice and mom to sign a form, but it didn't leave a mark.

All lined up ready for dismissal...

Brooklyn was first out the door...

Next came me and Stephen...

Brooklyn and I held hands walking to the car...

After naptime mommy bribed me into a photo shoot... she is trying to design my birthday invitations and didn't have the perfect Milla Mouse shot...

Here are some outtakes...

Convinced Mickey & Minnie needed to ride Maggie...

Minnie did great!

I love my Minnie!

Mom gave me an m&m every time I sat on the chair and smiled... it was tons of fun and she got some great shots...

I in turn asked Minnie to do the same and tried to feed her an M&M... Oh and I also now refer to them as "m's" instead of just candy... they are definitely a favorite.

Seriously... how cute are we?

Snuggles...

Sweet girl and her Minnie...

and a high five from Minnie...

The MANY expressions of Milla Mouse...
