New Year's Eve Day...

Mom says I'm still too young to participate in New Year's Eve... so today was just like any other day to me...

I did have a good hair day when I woke up though...

Wild curls!

We played Elefun...

I played with my princesses while wearing a dress-up necklace and doing "magic" with my wand...

Finally dressed I played with my "2 Barneys"...

Maggie and I watched some Stuart Little...

It's seriously the best movie ever!

When daddy got home we did gymnastics...

and Grandma Kitty & Papa came over to play and have dinner! We are celebrating a late Christmas with them this weekend...

I was so excited to see them (mom didn't tell me they were coming because she was afraid I wouldn't sleep)...

We built with my blocks...

and I tried to climb "stairs"...

Grandma Kitty read my "Twas the Night Before Christmas"...

see just like any other night...

Happy New Year friends!

Elefun & Kisses...

Today I thought I'd talk about some of my favorite toys from Christmas... just in case you are looking for good toddler birthday presents or just a way to kill time on a Saturday afternoon...

The first Elefun! Mom has no idea why I think this game is so fun... but MAN is it fun! The butterflies fly out the nose (you are suppose to catch them with a net but I just like catching them with my hands). Totally worth it for $14...

Next Snap and Style Babies... $13 at Walmart... SOOOO much fun! These are some of my favorite babies now. Their clothes and hats snap on for hours of entertainment (and great fine motor skill practice)...

I also still LOVE my cape... it's perfect for my new seesaw...

You should always have a cape when you fly!

Serious superhero face...

Totally off topic... aren't these giraffe socks cute?

They are super warm and PINK! (I constantly request pink socks)... By the way I have my very first movie I'm obsessed with... STUART LITTLE! I could watch it all day!

Before bathtime I kept asking daddy to wrap me up in blankies (see my babies everywhere)...

1 bathtime picture...

I was never a very affectionate baby, but I've become a very affectionate toddler...

Notice my pictures look a little crisper? Mommy got Lightroom today as her Christmas present... wish her luck learning it!

"Love you mommy"...

Gymnastics and a Tummy Ache...

This is my new leopard jacket and boots that Nana & Pop Pop bought me for Christmas... super cute huh?

It's good to have 2 pairs of boots since that's all I ever want to wear...

Walking out to blow up Santa (mom isn't sure how we are ever going to put him away)...

We headed to ASI to do a makeup class... I hadn't been there in almost a month and I was with a different teacher so it took me a while to warm up...

But eventually I had fun...

We were in the small pitt today and all I wanted to do was build...

I asked mommy to take this picture of me on the slide...

After class we drove by the house and saw that there were LOTS of guys digging... hopefully that means our foundation will be poured in the next few days...

The rest of the day was spent with a tummy ache... I guess you could call it traveler's constipation (there's a long story of why a girl with a tummy ache was given a chocolate cookie, to sum it up I was promised popcorn - high in fiber... and the fuse on the microwave busted so mom had to make me forget about the popcorn)...

I mean how pitiful is this face? I was absolutely miserable for about 4 hours...

But after it passed I was back to my normal smiley face...

Maggie watched over me the entire time to make sure I was ok... can you believe her snout hair is already turning white... she's only 3 years old!

I asked for more pictures after bathtime... last week mommy was making me laugh doing her "serious face" which I call her "circus face"... I was trying to make a "circus face" here...

Still trying...

Mom thinks she is in trouble since her serious face makes me laugh!

Christmas Trip to Houston...

On Saturday we loaded up the car and headed to Houston to see daddy's family. There were 2 special reasons for our trip 1) Daddy's brother and his family were in town from London and 2) this is the last Christmas at the house daddy grew up in. Nana and Pop Pop are moving north to be near us!

It was a long trip... but I was pretty good as long as mommy reminded me where we were going. I could be heard saying "Pop Pop Nana" throughout the ride...

I was super excited to arrive and see presents under the tree!

Nana has lots of fun Christmas decorations too...

Ready to meet my cousins...

and thrilled to be out of the car!

Mom and dad are so happy that I finally remember my grandparents in between visits... it makes it much more fun when I let Pop Pop fly me within 20 minutes of arriving...

Giving Santa a kiss...

After dinner my cousin Blaise helped me read one of my Leap Frog books...

Take 1 at our family picture...

and take 2 (where I'm actually smiling)...

Nana and Pop Pop and their grandkids... Arianne is 15 and Blaise is 12...

Finally it was time to open presents...

Mommy and daddy gave Arianne and Blaise these great rolls of money (a Rodman tradition)...

I got these awesome leopard boots...

and a princess dress...

Mom thinks I should always wear blue...

Don't you?

I also got princess pajamas...

Sunday we explored Pop Pop's "jungle" for the last time...

This is the tree daddy had his tree house in...

Then we played playdoh...

and watched Barney...

Nana fed me peanut butter and crackers...

I thought it was pretty special...

More playdoh...

Getting Nana involved...

and Pop Pop (mommy and daddy got to take a break!)...

Hugging Nana's doggie...

and hugging Nana...

After I went to bed Jay came back over and mom snapped a picture of the Fort family at their family home...

This morning when I woke up daddy put Maggie in my crib!

I thought it was hilarious!

I would totally let her sleep with me!

Heading back out to Pop Pop's jungle...

Maggie loves the jungle!

A couple of pictures in front of the house to remember it...

and another try at the tree picture...

The drive home didn't go as smoothly. I wasn't as excited to drive home as I was to drive to see Pop Pop and Nana... but I was in a much better mood when I got home and saw my toys. I kept saying "Santa brought Milla toys"...

Back to our routine, including silly bathtub pictures...

We are glad to be home and ready for a visit from Grandma Kitty and Papa!
