Graduation Video & A Letter

To: Milla
From: Mommy

My sweet Milla,

I remember the first time we toured First Presbyterian.  I knew the minute I walked through the door that we were home.  We never toured another preschool and signed up the next day.  4 years and hundreds of hours in the car later (it's a 25 minute drive each way) it's time to say goodbye.

I am so proud of everything you have accomplished inside that building.  Learning to skip, write, sing, play, and read.  You have learned how to be a very good friend and a leader.  You started a shy toddler with separation anxiety and you are leaving a strong kid with a major independent streak.

God presented us with the perfect teacher each year.  Ms. April to mother you when you were young, Ms. Michelle to teach you to get dirty and have fun, Ms. Judy to help you learn to be  support your friends and work as a team, and Ms. Stephanie to focus you academically and completely prepare you for kindergarten.

You are going to do amazing in school next year and I cannot wait to watch you grow! I look at you and know that you are ready for kindergarten, the question remains whether or not I am ready to leave First Presby.  It is our little bubble, where God is present, the teachers love you for you and where you feel comfortable to be yourself.  Hopefully we have soaked up enough of it that it will stay with us for years to come!

Great video! I am going to be super sad when Stella leaves there! I now know what it is like to go to Kinder, good experience but completely different.

I was so touched reading your letter to Milla. And then-the video. She's changed so much.
Great job!

Love,
Your Mom
