Disney Cruise Day 4 - Grand Cayman & Pirate Night

When we woke up the next morning we were already at the Grand Cayman Island port.  Well as close as they let you get because of their beautiful coral reef.  We had to take tender boats to the island.  Before the cruise we got a list of possible excursions.  After much family discussion we decided the Turtle Farm/Dolphin experience would be a perfect fit.  So off we went!

As we headed to our meeting spot for the excursion we ran into my 2nd favorite puppy dog (Maggie is my first)...

and then we waited for everyone to gather so we could go together to the island.

The tender boats are a little shaky... on the way back to the boat we rode on the top level and it was MUCH better!

Daddy was excited to get off the boat for a little while!

Our beautiful ship behind us (and a carnival ship as well)...

I thought we were going to do the dolphins first and then the sea turtles so I was REALLY disappointed and had a hard time focusing on enjoying the beautiful sea turtles.  I was very nervous about swimming with dolphins and the added time just added to my anxiety.

But the turtles were amazing!

and then we found the touch tank.  They have a VERY different definition of touch tank!  We thought we would be putting our hands in... nope, you climb IN the tank with the juvenile sea turtles and you can pick them up!

He was flapping his flippers on mommy's hand really hard... I wanted OUT of the tank!  Saltwater burns my legs really bad and we have yet to find a solution to it.

Time to bring our little friend to visit daddy...

Here we are taking him out of the tank...

See how much more relaxed I was once I was out of the tank...

Amazing!

Daddy LOVES sea turtles...

Next we headed across the street for our dolphin experience.  Daddy was in charge of taking pictures while mommy and I got to meet, touch, kiss and play with the nicest dolphin ever!

See us waving...

How many 4 year olds get to do this?

We even saw an iguana on the way back to the boat...

When we arrived back at the boat Pirates In the Caribbean night was in full effect!

I really loved just playing around in the hallways on the ship... silly huh?

Ice cream break!

We headed down to meet Pirate Stitch...

and he loved my pigtails...

then I got to go look for Tinkerbell at Oceaneer's Club...

and I spotted Peter Pan hiding from Captain Hook.  I would NOT go see Captain Hook...

Finally dressed in my pirate costume and ready to party!

and this is how close I was willing to get to Jack Sparrow, I'm still haunted by the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland...

another unique experience... Minnie saw me walking down the hall and we held hands and walked through the crowd...

and mom was finally ready to party with me!

Another meeting without a line...

and another...

Stingray towel art!

Waiting for dinner after the Villians show...

Silly faces...

Had to take a pic with Tick Tock in my pirate costume...

Finally it was time for our pirate dinner and even dad got dressed up...

This is my friend Lucas... he sat at the table next to us every night and we became friends (although sometimes we fought like siblings)...

We made a pirate cave under the table...

and Senol helped us play ring toss...

and broke up a few of our fights...

Our favorite head server John coming through on the pirate parade (which included a limbo line)...

Me and Senol... I really enjoyed having the same service team every night, it made me much more comfortable.

Time for the pirate party...

and Pirate Mickey saved the day!

and set off fireworks!

It was a very fun (very loud) party!

Hi! I found your blog while researching for an upcoming Disney cruise. I LOVE the shirt that you wore for pirate night. Would you mind sharing where you purchased it?
