Disney Cruise Day 2!

The only thing that stands close to waking up with a view of Cinderella's castle... is waking up with a view of nothing but the view!  And of course, because it was the first day of our vacation, we got to see the sun rise!  I cannot stand to sleep in on the first day!

Here I am with my beds... at night the bunk bed comes down on the ground and I end up sleeping there because I CANNOT stay in a bed without full bedrails... I roll out within 3 minutes every single night!

and during the day, it's just a jungle gym for this monkey!

Ready to explore the ship! If you ask me what my favorite part of the cruise was I will say it was Oceaneer's Club... but really what I always wanted to do was "go walk around"... this is the theme park kid in me!  I'm not so good at sitting still!

So walk around we did... we found secret passages, elevators no one used, tried every door and explored every space...

Gotta take a picture with Wendy since I'm wearing my Peter Pan shirt...

and Tick Tock Croc!   I was SUPER excited to go to Oceaneer's Club after spending some time there at open house...

So while I played mom and dad explored the adult side of the ship...  It was WINDY!

Facing away from the wind...

Facing into the wind!

Another look at our cabin... This was the Family Oceanview with Verandah... definitely worth the few dollars to upgrade from a standard oceanview with verandah!  It gave us a few extra square feet (which are needed on a ship)...

Mom got a magnetic Duffy on the cruise and we kept finding him all over the cabin!

Minnie Mouse ready for the pool!

The pools are small and crowded on sea days... but I discovered I really love hot tubs!

This chandelier really is a Chihuly... it's just not made of glass... amazing that he found a plastic substance that could be blown like he blows glass!  He is incredible!

The grand entrance...

The 2nd night at sea was Formal Night... so before we got gussied up we met Daisy in her formal attire...

Now I'm ready!

I've grown up quite a bit since the first time I wore this dress last November at Disney World... mom removed the ruffle at the top to make it a big girl dress...

Ready for our fancy princess dinner...

One of my FAVORITE things about the cruise was the comedians... especially Magic Dave!  I adored him!

Between the big show and dinner we had an hour break every night... my favorite night was when he performed a small show we could watch...

He said at his big show that if you ever saw him on the ship ask him to show you a magic trick... right before this show we saw him and sure enough he did a trick with me that won my heart!  He is really remarkable!

and he convinced this boy to pie his dad...

Which was HILARIOUS!

Formal dinner...

at Lumiere's...

I found Daisy again and had to take a 2nd picture in my formal attire...

watching the waves...

letting mom take a few more pics...

My final surprise of the night... we ran into Tiana in the halls!  She was SO beautiful and took time to fuss over my dress and talk with me...  I had never met her before!

More towel animals... he was our FAVORITE!

Hello! I came across your blog while googling Disney Cruise stuff! You have a beautiful family! I have a question for you--and you briefly touched on it in your blog... The bedrails don't look like they actually SERVE a purpose on the upper berth--but I've never seen a picture like that before?? That stinks!! Did you ask about it to a castmember? We're sailing in April and there is no way my 6 year old can sleep there like that....

They definitely aren't super high railings are they? We moved the mattress onto the floor and that worked really well. They also do have bed rails that you can ask for. Happy Cruising! Let me know if you have any other questions. There are more pictures on my work blog www.fairydustvacations.com
