Zoo with the Rudd Girls...

Yes, it's still over a 100 degrees outside... but we have finally acclimated to the heat and I've been dying to go to the zoo so when mom got an invitation, we jumped at the chance.

Madeline and her family are in the process of moving to Aledo, it's about an hour away from us and while we are sad, we also cannot wait until the weather cools off and we can go explore their new "country life".   What is the halfway point between Aledo and Keller?  The Fort Worth Zoo!  Perfect!

We walked straight in and walked up to this guy... Caroline (Madeline's 1 year old sister) freaked out!  He scared her so badly, she didn't understand there was glass there...

Me and my buddy Madeline...

Here we are with a few other friends the very first time we went to the zoo (I was 1 and she was 1 1/2)...

Mom and I always take a picture here, but we were SO hot and sweaty...

We really enjoyed the baby monkey...

and climbing the termite mounds...

Sweet friends!

Mom took Madeline and I into the bird area...

Madeline was VERY unsure and didn't want to feed the birds at all...

Unfortunately, while we were in there Ms. Jennifer got stung by bees!

This trip to the zoo was way more about Madeline and I having fun together than about seeing the animals... I think we could have been anywhere and had just as much fun!

After lunch, it was time for a train ride...

Precious Caroline...

and if there is any doubt of whether or not she looks like her sister, here is her Madeline at 1 1/2...

Madeline had to leave to go pick up her brother from his first day of school, but mom and I stayed to explore MOLA.  It was the quietest we've ever seen it in there and we had so much fun looking at all the reptiles...  It's a great place for eye spy!

He's my favorite!

Thanks for joining us at the zoo Madeline!  We had a great time!

We enjoyed our time at the zoo. Madeline has been wanting to play with Milla for a while so it made her day!
