2nd Post: A Letter to Milla

Dear Milla,

Here we go!  The day has come for big girl school.   22 students and 7 hour days, 5 days a week.  A world of loud cafeterias and recess with over 100 kids.  I can confidently say you are ready!  There have been times over the past 2 years where I worried you would not be, but oh how you've proven me wrong!

This summer you have grown into such a mature, kind, helpful kid.  You have conquered new experiences, made new friends and flourished in situations that would have left you frozen just a year ago.  Every week you marched into a new adventure, nervous, but ready.  I pray that those experiences and successes will stay with you and make school seem a little less scary.

You have been blessed with a wonderful teacher, good friends in your class.   You have been blessed by the teachers in your life both at preschool and dance that have prepared you and helped you grow into this confident kindergartener.  You have been blessed by a family who loves you, fits and all, for exactly who you are.  And don't worry, I will always be around, peaking in, making sure you continue down the right path.  I guess that's the benefit of being both Room Mom and Vice President of the PTA.

Be brave, Be kind, Be confident.  You've got this baby girl!
