Father's Day 2010

Happy Father's Day daddy! This was the first year that I could actually say that to you... every time I said it I got a hug, so I said it a lot! I feel so lucky to have you as my daddy. Your playfulness, patience and love shape me every day and I am lucky to call you one of my best friends.

Here we are last year...

and the year before...

Our shirt theme this year... "My Dad is Rad". Funny enough, my cousin Grant's shirt said the same thing!

Last week Papa Rodman sent mom a poem she had written him for Father's Day as a kid and it was about how "rad" he was...

The poem was definitely her inspiration...

and hey... they 80's are back right?

Today we headed out to Granbury to see Nana and Pop Pop. It took me about 3 minutes to spot cousin Arianne's old toys that Pop Pop had pulled out...

They kept me entertained the entire time I was there...

We went to lunch and then stopped at Walmart to get a toy. I picked out a baby pool (it's 100 degrees) and a mermaid...

Mom even packed my swimsuit...

My mermaid did some swimming and I splashed...

Look how beautiful their view is!

I played for a little while, but really wanted to go back in and play with that doll house!

and eat watermelon...

YUM!

and snuggle with Nana's puppy...

He's stuffed, but he's still super sweet...

Finally it was time for some family pictures...

It was SUCH a fun day! We really enjoy our little day trips to Granbury and we can't wait to spend 4th of July out there! Happy Father's Day daddy & Pop Pop...

and Happy Father's Day to Papa Rodman from your girls...

we love you and miss you and can't wait to celebrate with you when we see you in a few weeks!
