What an amazing day we had!
We started the day with a morning nap, mom said I was going to need a two nap day to get through everything we had planned...
Then we headed to 5 Guys and a Burger... it's up for Best Burger in DFW and mom and dad said we needed to try it out... they were REALLY good! What's more patriotic than a hamburger? Especially when you don't have to grill it yourself in the 100 degree heat!
When we got home I helped mom decorate star sugar cookies...
She says I'm in training for Christmas cookies... it was SO much fun!
"Sure I'll be your baking helper mom!"
Trying a bite with icing...
YUMMY! (a word I mastered today)...
Next came the red sprinkles...
"Yep, definitely better with sprinkles"...
My favorite part was cleaning up... I would play in the kitchen sink ALL day!
Showing off my "drinking from a cup" skills...
When I woke up from Nap #2 mom said I need to watch these crazy guys. It's one of her traditions to watch the Nathan's Hot Dog eating contest on 4th of July... who knows, with my love of hot dogs, maybe I'll compete one day!
We started the evening off at Logans (a steak might even be more patriotic than a hamburger)...
Does this angelic face look like it's about to cause a tantrum that could clear a room???
I had NO interest in high chairs tonight... So mommy and daddy traded off walking me around and we think we'll take a break from dining out until my teeth cut through...
Don't you think mommy did a great job on my dress? It's an Old Navy dress, but she decided it wasn't festive enough so she added the big stars on it...
I really liked their jukebox...
and flirting with the bartender...
after dinner we needed to kill some more time so we headed over to McDonald's to play...
Such a big girl!
Down the slide...
I stopped for a lick of ice cream, except I don't really know how to lick ice cream so I mouthed it... we'll work on licking soon...
Hi dad!
Do you see me in the cut out there?
Flying the plane...
Coming out the slide with daddy close behind...
Then the time had finally come... the entire day lead up to this... FIREWORKS!
Madeline's family was nice enough to invite us over to her daddy's office parking lot to watch the Bedford Fireworks... they were amazing! Thanks again to the Rudd family for letting us join your fun!
Madeline was so excited to see me!
Happy girls, distracted by sparklers...
We had glow sticks instead of sparklers...
Toddlers with glow sticks... how fun is that!
Mom gave me a little juice to try to keep me awake... did you know fireworks don't start until 10pm???
Kate set off some sparklers and even wrote my name!
We got a sweet family picture before the fireworks started...
and took one of the Rudd family...
Cuddling with mommy...
The mommies and the girls...
Finally they began! Wow!
Look how pretty they are!
I was a little scared at first, but once I adjusted I really enjoyed them...
I pointed and said "boom" and "wow" over and over again....
"Aren't they amazing daddy?"
The finale...
"That was awesome! Do they do them again tomorrow night?"
Happy 4th of July everyone! Hope you had a fantastic day!
